The doc decided on a different line of attack, an simply put in a lumbar-peritoneal shunt instead. This seems to be working, by reducing the intracraneal pressure.
My wife is happy he didn't have to open her head again.
Surgery was over by 10 am, but they didn't have a bed for her, so kept her in recovery until 8pm.
I went up to the floor before they moved her and saw several empty beds.
