RIP John McCain

Post by Diana Michelle »

This country is a far better place for having a hero and patriot like Senator John McCain. It is a rare individual who puts beliefs and morals above all other considerations. In this time of turmoil and finger pointing we should all take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices he made for us and say a prayer for his family and friends.
Remember Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did only she did it backwards and in high heels!

The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls and tenement halls and whispered in the sounds of silence. Paul Simon

While I have not always agreed with his politics, I still respected the man. We are worse off for him having passed away.

I agree Annie. While I may have not agreed with him most of the time John McCain was a man of integrity, honesty, morals, and conscience who was capable of bucking the trend to vote his beliefs above the pressures of tribalism and party lines. He will be sadly missed by all for he may be one of the last of the true gentlemen in politics.
