Question for the moderators
I gather the haven is up around 12,000 total users. Can you provide any info on how many are active or have posted and or logged in during the last year? I notice that most all of the posts seem to be from a cadre of maybe 100 users and am wondering how many people join and then just go dark (never come back)

Re: Question for the moderators
Hi, Wesley -
I have no idea where you are getting the "12,000 total users" as only registered, logged-in, members are permitted to post here.
Yes, we do have about 125 'active' users in any given year - meaning those who log in, read posts, create and/or respond to posts.
As for "how many people join and then just go dark (never come back)" . . . well, I would say that averages to 3 out of every 5 "new members".
That said, we are still a 'free' forum, but in order for this forum to remain online donations are greatly needed as I can no longer afford to absorb all the costs and expenses on my own, and it costs me $100.00/month. Software upgrades and updating our security software (SSL certification) will cost even more per month, and I just cannot afford it.

Re: Question for the moderators
Sorry, I have to chuckle. Allow me to explain. When you are on any given forum, and you hover your cursor over any given author, you get a pop up in the lower left hand corner that reads something like:SilverLady(SO) wrote:Hi, Wesley -

crossdressers-haven.com/memberlist.php?mode=veiwprofile?&u=XXXXX
Where XXXXX is the members user number. I had noticed that the latest person in the NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCTION forum was in the 11,700 range, hence the 12,000 total users. (Mine is 5954) That was how I came up with the number.
I am guessing a lot of those have not been seen in years! Which is kinda sad. I have to wonder what the reason so many never return? I will admit this is the only site I really visit on the issue, and have shared my postings with ex wife and wife, all to good effect as this is one of the truly good sites that are non sex based. (sexual content and fantasy sites.)
At any rate, thank you for sharing the numbers and more importantly for keeping the site going.

Re: Question for the moderators
Ok, got it. Those numbers represent the total number of 'registrations' which, over the 15+ years that this forum has been in existence, have tried to become members. By no means does that number represent how many members we have had here, far from it!
At one point a vast majority of those registrations were actually from spammers, which is why we turned off the registration page for about 16 months from 2011-2012. That was when I obtained total management control of the forum from the original owners/founders, and Caith and I did a massive upgrade to the software. A short time after that I became the new owner of the forum and the forum's name was amended to what it is now.
Even today we still get a lot of registrations from legitimate people who fail to read and follow instructions, and their registrations are immediately deleted. See the 'header' at the top of this (and every) page and you'll know what I mean.
Thank you, and have a great day!
