The world´s oldest bra

Post by Joanna_S »

Hi ladies !

In case you haven´t heard the news, the world´s oldest bra has been found by an archaeologist in China. Approximately 1000 years old bra has a cotton padding for push up effect and straps almost like a modern bra. Officially the first bra was made by Mary Phelps Jacob in 1913 but it seems that this wonderful garment comes from ancient history! :) :)

Joanna, the bra lady

Ps. this is not a joke

A 1000-year old bra, eh? Gives a whole new meaning to the term "long-lasting support."

Hi,

CJ, that was rough. ..rofl.. ..rofl..

Joanna,

Interesting. What did they use for hooks and to give it a little stretch?

Hmmmm, lets see now. Some 20,000 years ago some bright lad in Italy depicted carefully dressed hair on ivory figurines as well as a sketchy G-string, and a hairstyle with bangs on a small ivory portrait. The Minoans were wearing open bust corsets about 3,000 B.C. Now the Chinese have found a 2,000 year old bra.

Did you see that the Chinese archaeologists also found the oldest evidence for stir fry as well? They said they found a Wok of Ages.

OK, so it's been a long day!!! :)
