MY POSTINGS
Hello,
I have done a few postings on this site in several different areas. It seems to me that a lot of them are just sitting there. A few have had responces.
At this point I am not sure; If most of my posts are on subjects that people are not interested in. Maybe they were not worth a lot of interest.
Either way I would like to know if people liked or disliked them. If I should continue even posting in this Forum????

Well I can tell from my own experience that it is often somewhat difficult to get the attention of people when you join a new forum. No matter how interesting or informative your posts are, no one just seems to care.
I'm sure the lovely members here aren't ignoring you on purpose, but people just tend to seek out the posts that have been made by their friends and leave the other less important posts for later. It happens everywhere, it has nothing to do with you, I know.
It just takes some patience to make yourself known. Just keep posting and charm everyone with your personality and I'm sure things will change in the future. So it best not to question the quality of your posts when you know that there was nothing wrong with them...life is just bit funny and unfair at times.
If you can just get through the night, morning will always arrive.

Hi Shirley(SO),
I don't necessarily agree with Jadhe. The posts you have contributed to threads I have been involved have been read, understood and much appreciated, at least by me. And I have read some of your posts in other threads as well.
What happens in forums of this nature is that sometimes the members will feel that a thread has been "talked out" and they have nothing further to contribute even if a new member adds their thoughts later. It really depends on the topic. This has happened to me as well.
I don't believe you are being ignored or even shunned in favor of "friends". I value everyone's views even if I may dissagree. It is that diversity of viewpoints that allows us all to learn.
Please, hang in there and continue to post your thoughts. They do make a difference.

Hi Shirley(SO),
I just took a look at some of your posts to see if I could get a picture of what it is you are talking about.
You have made some intelligent contributions here, and I would encourage you not to become disheartened.
I have posted some topics where I wanted some SO responses, even requesting it in the post and have received none. Quite frankly I am not impressed, when they choose to do that... In fact I find it very disrespectful.
I have also had a lot of response from certain SO's in other threads. I don't have the answer, for that difference.
I read most of your posts, because I have numbered you among those who have something worth while to contribute. How ever I have been trying not to respond as much as I used to, to those with whom I agree. I don't want people to agree with someone just because Darlene thinks that way too.
I have been places where people would do the same thing I did because I had received validation and recognition for the way I thought and did things. I was involved in one event where if I did not participate in a certain thing others would not take part because they saw no value in it..
Each person would do better if they choose there own route, and that is what I hope happens here.

Hi Shirley (SO),
I too have read most of your posts. An So's participation here is what I would consider manna from the mountain - its "solid gold." Do not get discouraged, what my sisters have said is true. I for one try and read as many SO posting as possible because why not go to the source. All I can say is hang in there you are making a positive contribution and we do appreciate it.
Love,
Deborah

My Postings
Hello Shirley,
I can assure you I read your contributions as I do everybody elses'. Even though there are some from this forum who have befriended me and we chat online through Messenger, I don't read their postings necessarily before any others, I just work my way down each topic as I go.
Sometimes we may make a contribution which doesn't receive any answers, not because people see it as not having any value, but because what they think about what we say has already been well covered by others, and this is no reflection on the quality of what anyone has to say.
From what I have read from you, I would agree that you talk sense, have much to offer and are an asset here. It's also nice to read how you support your hubby and go shopping with him, we have something great in common there, my wife is an absolute gem, she is Gods gift to the world in many ways.
I look forward to the continuance of your input here, as I'm sure does everyone else.
My Kindest Regards,
Sally.

Watch nature, because it’s our greatest teacher, it moves and flows and moves on again. We can never be free until we disengage, so allow life to flow as you find it. The way it is, is the way it is.

If anyone hasn't mentioned it, there are a LOT of lurkers here and they educate themselves without making a post. (Signing up for membership is a huge hurdle mentally for many).
PLUS, you are a SO -- as pointed out by others, your comments are VERY VALUABLE for other SOs when they come here and lurk trying to make sense of their spouses. We may never hear from them, but take satisfaction that your contribution is permanently available to anyone (SO or not) who visits this forum.

Hello Everyone,
Thank You!!!!! for the comments I really do appreciate them. I do feel that I have a lot to offer. I do get on a soap box from time to time about certain subjects. I can also write very long post when motivated. I can also write some very angry post from time to time.
Are you sure that you still want me around ??? BTW did anybody like the stories about the Butterflies?????? The " Cocoon" story should have been posted in the Acceptance forum.
Thanks again for the comments. Shirley(SO)
