The classic interpretation of dreams has been the Freudian one. Dreams are away of depicting the fulfillment of wishes. Maybe that works sometimes, but by now much of Freudian psychology is no longer accepted. I think we have a resident Jungian on the Forum. Perhaps she might put in a word here?
