Not to sound cruel but I hope someone can relate

What is up with people whom you see every weekend, yet STILL feel the need to call you on a DAILY basis, just to yak for an hour about NOTHING!! !!arg!!

One of my CD friends feels the need to call me up 7 DAYS A WEEK just to chat. A couple of times a week just to say hello is fine, but DAILY is just plain ridiculous.

I don't pick it up half the time when she calls, but why are you trying to run my minutes UP and my battery power DOWN? And I have told him directly & outright NOT to call me every day, and not to leave 5-6 messages for me within 1 hour but he just doesn't get it. She must be thick. She STILL doesn't get why I don't pick up on those "I'm busy" or those "leave me alone" days. ](*,) Hey, everyone needs their personal space every so often.

In the evening I will chat or post online but in terms of the phone, I am NOT a long talker with someone I already see all the time!! The only person I would EVER talk to 7 days a week would be a girlfriend. My own mother, the woman who gave me life, I only talk to a couple of times a week. And my best friend of 20+ years I only chat with every other week or so. That is plenty. We both have lives.

Calling me every so often just to say Hey? Cool. @@9@@

But calling me 7 ****ING DAYS A WEEK (when I see you every weekend anyway) just to chit chat? DON'T do it. That's just plain sick. Ugh!!! !!arg!! !!arg!! !!arg!!
Live it. Love it. OWN IT.

Hi Lorna,

Perhaps she just looks to your inner strength to strengthen her? And perhaps she just really likes you. And perhaps she considers you her best friend? And perhaps she is just lonely?

Or she could just be one of those annoying people who love to talk on the phone? Laff

Love always,
Elizabeth

Perhaps she is a needy person who does not have many friends. which is not hard to understand if she attempts to that with every one she knows.

Hi Lorna

!!!yes!!!

I think this is down to our personality. I feel the same as you do. I have a buddy, Kieth who lives 100 yards from me in the next street. I see him or his wife at least 4 times a week.

Just last month I got an email which invited me to install MSN Chat. The worst thing I ever did. Next night I was surfing, when a Pop-Up appeared from Kieth. The message said,"I know your on-line, lets chat."

To be sociable I opened the MSN Window, and typed "What about?" He then proceeded to talk about a load of crap, stuff I am not interested in. Masculine stuff mostly. Naughty pictures and dirty jokes he has downloaded. Nothing sinister, but of no interest to me.

He wanted to know where I was surfing, although he knows about my otherself I didnt want to tell him I was looking for a handbag and a new bra. So, fine after a half hour of inane chat I politely excused myself. The bug is next night same thing happened. It took three days before I Uninstalled MSN chat and Dared my wife and kids not to re-install it.

Basically we are persons with a desire for privacy. But everybody is different. Kieth cannot understand why I deleted MSN Chat, I had to fib and tel him it conflicted with my PC. Lucky I have a 64-bit processor, he doesn't understand them. (neither do I, to be honest).

I can talk on the phone for two minutes before I run out of conversation. My wife can burn the dinner to a crisp and not even notice when she is on the phone. She even phones her pal who she is about to go out with that same night. I dont know what they find to talk about.

It takes all kinds! Do what I do, subscribe to caller display, switch on the answer machine and only take the calls you want. Dont call me, I'll call you! is my motto.

Tara!

I certainly wouldn't like to have a friend phoning me up 24/7 simply cos I like to do my own thing and not be disturbed. I do however speak with my Mum every single day for at least 15mins and my Sister, we normally ring each other about 5 times a day lol

I think the only way to look at it is a possitive, in that she obviously does love you.
