It's time for me to stop being such a Mopey Molly. I got a call today - the whole no-job thing turned out to be a mixup!! Can you believe that?!? Only me, LOL geeesh...
But the good news is they STILL want me to start next month! Apparently there was some paperwork confusion from their end (arrrgh! That's a heck of a mistake to make!) but I am happy to report that my employment @ Macy's is going ahead as originally planned!
We now return you to our regularly scheduled posting...
Wow Lorna!!!! Your right, that is some mix-up. I have just caught up on posts that I missed while I was gone last weekend, and was wondering how you were doing when I found this one!! Hope all continues positively. Love, Carolynn.

Thank you, baby!!
I'm happy to say that I'm doing just fine... I have a feeling that the dark cloud of 2004 has now FINALLY truly passed - I'm safe now... yay!
Hello Ex Mopey Molly! Glad the job is still yours You deserve some luck, now can you send some over here!
I am STILL waiting for a start date for the new job I was offered with Social Services, seems like the paperwork has got lost somewhere along the line My references and Criminal Records check have disappeared, they have been sent to County Hall, but nobody can find them. I have had it up to here with incompetence recently
I won't even start on the two hours I've just spent on the phone with my bank's call-centre trying to get hold of a competent person to sort out ANOTHER one of their cock-ups that has left me out of pocket
Boy oh Boy the things we have to endure. Hope good continues to happen for you, Lorna. Curly, surely things will get straightened out eventually.
Good luck to you both!
I certainly feel glad that your job really did go through!
I remember my late father mistakenly getting a layoff notice (from NY state) in the early 70's that was rectified within a week after he applied for unemployment.
