Another great week-end

Post by Virginia »

Since my training partner and her new SO are still so romantically involved, I asked my pre-op TS friend, Brandi to go to a powerlifting meet with me this week-end in North Carolina and be my coach. She agreed and I gave her some pointers on coaching and she did a great job. She would politely push people out of the way to get to the "expeditor" to see when I was up and what lifts my competitors were doing and she kept shoving water at me as I have a tendency not to drink enough water during a meet. She even pointed out a post-op TG that was there. I said "no way!" Blonde, 42- DD, beautiful! Brandi, unabashed, Brandi goes up to her and starts talking with her and they hit it off and share "things." She was right, post-op TG! Oh, the meet, I set three world records and won both the Bench press and the full meet, but that is not the story.
After the meet we went out to a local steakhouse to eat, 10 hour powerlifting meets can produce somewhat of an appetite. Its late and there are few people in the place. There is this gay guy that works there late teens. early twenties, I mean you can't miss him, coulletts, slightly heeled slides, curly blonde hair, earrings, mannerisms, actually he was in my definition, beyond gay!? Anyway, (no Virginia was not there) I get up to use the bathroom and one of the girls is mopping the alcove that leads to the bathroom and she says "be careful, don't slip" Now the gay guy is curled up on the seat of one of the booths, talking to this girl. When I came out, he says,"Be careful, don't slip." Where this came from, I have no idea, but I turned around and with a BIG smile, pointed at him and said,"I could do this with high heels on!" His mouth literally fell open! I turned and as I was walking away, I heard him ask her, "What'd he say? What'd he say?" She was laughting and repeated it for him and I heard,"Oh my gawd! oh my gawd!"
At 2:30am Brandi and I rolled in Roanoke and the rest is, as they say, history!!
What a great time!!!

Wow, Virginia 3 world records! =D> Congratulations. =D>

As for the young "gay" guy, why do you say he was gay instead of saying he was transgendered or crossdressed?

Sounds like his response was in response to running into another CD. He's probably never met another CDer.

Virgnia,

First, congrats on the meet. Sounds like all the training you put in, paid off. I am so happy to hear your weekend went so great. You certainly deserve considering the year you have had.

It is so nice to see things going so well for you. And I am just burning with jealousy. I never think of the right thing to say, until it's too late. I am always like "I should have said _ _ _ _ _ _ _ " I so thriilled to see you say just the right thing, at just the right moment. I can picture you strutting away in full dreb leaving him totally confused and stunned.

You go girl!!!!!!!!

Love always,
Elizabeth

Thanks for the replys and Donna, I hate to pass the blame if you will, but it was Brandi who said he was gay, but you raise an interesting question, perhaps he was a CD, or TS. But I would have to go with Brandi's assessment that he was gay. I was just glad to see him having a job in public in a nice steak house! Now it makes me wonder, what if he was the owner or maybe the manager and his parents owned it or...... Don't make me drive three and a half hours back down there to find out.   Anyway he was a nice enough person and I was happy to have interacted with him.
Love ya,
Virginia

Hi Virginia,

It was great to hear you had such a good time. It is fun to sometimes give other people a perk during their day. It was an inspired comeback!

Three world records! =D> Alright! But on this forum, that's off-topic, and not what the post is about! That's pretty funny.

That's a great little story there, Virgina. Haf ta tell ya, though, I almost went down wearing 2-inch heels on a wet street. I had no warning it was going to happen, either. Not sure how real girls practice for those situations.

I would have loved to hear how Brandi got in and out of that conversation with the other TS gal. I'm sure she volunteered some of her own info first, to get things rolling, but how do you subtlety do that?

Hi Anita,
Brandi, is not the least bit bashful. She is proud of who she is and who she is becoming. I was not privy to the conversation, but I am sure you are right, she shared with her first.
They did not talk too long, but the exchange was, I am sure heartfelt! As I have said before, I am so proud of Brandi and I consider it an honor to call her my friend.
