A little update...

Hi all,

Just to let you all know I'm still around even though I haven't posted much lately. I come to the site at least every couple of days to take a peek at new developments and to see what old friends are up to.

My roommate Marie is basically living with her new beau now so I rarely see her (maybe once every ten days or so). She's already moved a lot of her stuff into his place. She's going on a trip with him to North Carolina in a couple of weeks. From there, they'll drive down to Florida. Bon voyage, Marie! Have fun!

I'll admit our apartment feels a little big right now, even with the two cats around. Chances are I'll be keeping the felines as Marie's BF has a huge dog that apparently likes to hunt anything that meows or purrs. The apartment feels especially "blecchy" lately as we've been victims of a B&E two days ago. Miraculously, nothing was taken (although the place was a mess: shattered glass everywhere in the kitchen, overturned drawers, our stuff--including cameras, binoculars, and books--strewn about). The police think the would-be burglars were looking for jewelry. They also think the crime was in progress when I inserted my key into the front door (around half past midnight) and that they simply bolted through the broken back patio door. I missed a day at work yesterday, waiting for the door to be replaced (and, boy, it was cold in here for a spell!). Eh! All's well that ends well, anyway. Still, I can't wait to move out of here now.

My friend Carole is in Las Vegas right now. Which is a little weird as she hates gambling. Basically, she's just accompanying her mother and sister (who are huge Céline Dion fans). Bon voyage, Carole! She'll be back next week. It's sort of tough being friends to both Marie and Carole lately as they've had a major falling out two months ago and haven't spoken to each other since then. Life, I tell ya!

Things are going super well with Rina. She and I are coming up on our four-month anniversary. We're still discovering each other and we're very much in love with each other. She's leaving for India next month to visit family. Bon voyage, Rina! She'll be back in mid-January, at which time we'll start looking for an apartment together (probably smack dab in the middle of downtown Montreal). I posted a pic of my new belle on the gallery (she's okay with it, I think).

Well, there you have it. A little update. I hope you're all doing well and I'll try to pop in to say hello like this a bit more often (a tough proposition, as we're heading into our busiest time of the year at work).

Glad to hear nothing was stolen, and you weren't confronted by the burglars. I figure they were looking for drugs instead of jewelry, but you never know.
