Hi SL,

You are so right. I wouldn't dream of forcing her to do anything. I'm much more tactful than that. I guess when I say I'm trying to get her to quit, what I actually mean is that I talk to her about it. We really do communicate well, and after being together nearly 20 years I know where the limits lie. My subtle approach is to wait until she brings it up in conversation and then voice my opinion. Basically she knows where I stand on the issue, and I'm not really a non-smoking activist or anything. I am worried about the long term effects, though. She has been smoking for a very long time and my concern grows.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it as always.

Hugs,
Kyra

:dancing:
well done Paige!
I gave up from a 40 a day habit, sixteen years ago.
I know its tough, but so is life, you are over the worst.
Dont use the substitutes, they just prolong the agony.
But watch what you eat, I gained 42 pounds within six months of quiting.
That has been the hardest battle!

best wishes

Kerri
