Silverlady(SO),

Thanks for the compliment. Yes I am still in college, in fact I am in the second week of the new semester. My english professor says he rarely gives A's, but I am a very determined person. He seems to be a very passionate educator looking for excellence.

I don't just want a degree. I want to be educated. I want to be able to write great documents and to do that, I need the toughest professors. So? unless I can't find a way to get an A, I will remain 4.0. I will be putting all my efforts into getting good grades. I figure I need to have great grades if I am to get into a decent law school.

Love always,
Elizabeth

My avatar is not me, but I would love to have an outfit like that, which is why I choose it.

I am truly awed by the responses to my questions.

I don't want anyone to think I'm shallow and look for just pretty pictures. That's not me at all. Though I do have to say there are some real lovelies around here.

My question was mostly curiosity about how many of us really have the capability to transform themselves with little of no maleness left over.

I'm just starstruck, I think, with the many that can so well.

Jealous? No. Maybe envious.

Love to all and thanx =D>

Yup it's me.

Gwen it's also worth remembering that the right camera angles can make all the difference. Which means for each photo I've posted, there's usually (at a bare minimum) 20-30 ones that didn't make the cut.

Nope, not me by a long shot

Like Jaye, I found a great picture of Alyson Hannigan that I liked. Although my heritage is only 25% Irish, I got a full dose of it in the hair and skin department. I was a redhead as a kid and it went through stages of red, blond, and finally reddish brunette before it started falling out and turning grey. :( I like to think I just might possibly have been 8-[ almost half as cute as AH if testosterone hadn't wrecked it's influence on me.

It's Me

Gwen,

Like you I used to doubt some of the avitars but the longer you are here, the more you will see that all of us are bareing our souls and so when we post an avitar we want it to be like we are or at the very least how we want to be seen. Mine is a true picture but taken at my makeover.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Hugs, Paige

This is the real me. It was taken at a holiday party, so I had extra time to work on my makeup.

Also, it helps to shoot from the best angles (and from a distance that is not too close to the camera).

My avatar is an icon I drew the first time in highschool. It is a Turbo a symbol of power in more then one culture. The colors in mine depect the celtic heritage I wish I had. I do play a Scot at faire but am not Scottish. I have that symbol on the front of my desktop computer.

I've changed! I finally uploaded a decent photo of myself and resized it to use as an avatar. I'll post a bigger version in the gallery. You'll all have to let me know what you think.

My avatar is meant to convey the humourous side of me. I do have pictures of Susan, Kimberly S has seen some of them. I personally don't consider myself passable facially hence the use of poor Daffy from that absolute classic by Chuck Jones - Duck Amuck - I guess that and the cartoon in general seem to mirror my life at times.

While working at the Kennedy Space Center, I was paid a visit by one of the astronauts before the launch that week. During our conversation, he told me that when paid a compliment, just say "thank you."

Not, "this old thing," or "just had it dry cleaned," as a responce. Rather, just "thank you." He said that this demonstrates your personal awareness of your own value as a human being.

So, yes the picture is me, "thank you."

Hugs

Jeannie:

I have not read all of your posts. Apparently, you can be a rather difficult "Connecticut Yankee." I gather that "Frankie" is more responsibile for that. That's right, just blame it on the other "guy!"
