Update: Tonight my friend Hahn called me and told me about an open mic night down at the bar where she currently bartends. So I went down (en drab, sorry) and tried a bit of my material! :)

It went pretty well! Some jokes went off much better than expected (YAY), others didn't draw as much laughter as expected, but hey, it was my first time up!

I'm glad I went tho this open mic because I can revise some of my stuff for the real show at the end of the month! I know what to use, what to say in certain situations, improv if necessary, etc...

Plus now that I tried it once, I won't be as nervous at the show!

Another GG friend of mine also went up to the mic tonight, just out of the blue. She did good herself!

Now I am totally PSYCHED for the real show!!! And I will be in FULL Lorna form! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I'm afraid I have some bad news, folks...

Due to some very unfortunate events that took place Saturday night I was unable to be in Sunday's show.

I'm just hoping that I'll be able to go up for the next show which will be at the end of April.

Two days away! Just two days away!!! ..^..

I must confess though... I am a little ticked off because I just got an e mail THIS MORNING that they switched the showtimes! You would think that they'd let people know sooner, especially the performers who told all their friends to be there at such & such time...

Anyway I forwarded the message about the time change to a few friends and already got back two cancellations so far. Ugh. :?

I just hope that not too many more of my peeps cancel on me... [-o<
