I am now in the middle of an ice storm with thunder, lighting, and nothing but sleet. I am beginning to think I should move back down south.

SNOW/ICE
Dear Curly: Great photos! I've been to England 8 times, but only encountered snow (and not much of it) in March 2006 in Cheltenham.
In the Washington, D.C. area we have not had much snow in recent years. The winters have basically been warm (with some cold days here and there). Whatever snow did come, was gone in a few days (or sooner).
So far this year, just flurries, but Tuesday we had freezing rain-- that is really unpleasant. I tried walking to the back of the building to throw out trash and couldn't even do that. Almost tripped and fell. The sidewalks were covered with thin sheets of ice!
HAPPY BELATED VALENTINE'S DAY TO EVERYONE!!
Peace-- Kendra Lynn (aka "hippie cheerleader").
