I simply wept at my father's memorial. I had to rack my brains for days to come up with a eulogy for my grandfather. I guess the only thing I can say is . . . it's difficult to say anything. May time do what it does.
News from the Empress. I got home yesterday and spent the day upgrading and debugging my computer with the gift he gave me on August 9 for my birthday that was some more ram for my computer bring me up to a full 1gig now. Anyway the funeral was very nice and quick. It is hard to explain a Jewish funeral because for some reason it is about the living and not about the dead. It was held on Long island at one of 2 HUGE Jewish cemeteries there. The Rabbi (Jewish priest) was able to get some information about my grandmother before the ceremony so at the grave he was able to say some really nice things. The burial was kind of interesting. At a Jewish grave you will never find flowers as it is VERY bad luck to place something that will eventually die. in about 9 months there is an unveiling of the headstone in which case when you come to visit the grave you usually place a small stone on the headstone.
I will miss my grandmother she was a strong great woman who hardly ever took flack from anyone. Thanks to all those who have sent out good words to me and my family I appreciate it.
Though we didn't break a record last Saturday night (I believe 13 is the highest I've counted), we had a sustained participation of 12 chatters. But ain't no law of physics says we can't do even better tonight (hint, hint).
Tomorrow will be the first chat of the new month. I look forward to seeing many of you there. I was quit busy last week and EXTRA tired by the time I finished my 12hr work shift with another 12hr shift the next day. Anyway I shall see as many of you who can arrive at the Chat Night.
