You gotta love this country.

Post by Jeannie »

Hi Girls
By now most of you must realize we are watching the decline of western civilization as we know it and we all can watch as it unfolds on CNN.
Sweet!
But don't get upset ladies. The Congress is presently hard at work trying to fix the problem they created. That's good. That's like asking a Catholic priest to be in charge of a day care center.

President Bush said Congress has to act quickly on his 700 billion dollar bailout or the economy will suffer severely. Gee whiz. Let me think. Millions of people have been laid off, millions more are losing their homes, everyones 401K looks like a duckpin bowling score and George still says it's not a recession.

George W wants 700 billion, which is 1/3 of the budget passed for this year for the United States, with no strings attached. Mr. Paulson who was the CEO of Goldman Sachs wants no limits put on executive bonuses. He said they might not agree to the settlement.

No matter what they decide on doing, just get ready to bend over and grab your ankles people. I hope we at least get a dinner and a movie first. Hugs.

Close but no cigar Steph.

Hi Steph
Gee whiz. Who would of guessed the vote on 700 billion dollar bill would be deep sixed by partisan bickering. I'm sure we're all shocked and dismayed that the Congress has done nothing again.
It really won't make much difference if it passes or it doesn't. The die is cast. The real loses approach 100 trillion and it's like thowing a bucket of water on a forest fire but at least it looks good.
This is my take if you live in the former United States Empire. Most Americans will basically end up with nothing in their 401ks,IRAs but will have a cushion of $129.46 in their savings account.
The Wall Street traders will be positioning themselves with strategies monday night to sell short and take positions on stocks they think might pop a bit when the market opens tuesday and pick up a few hundred million. I just picked up Seagrams and shorted Walmart. No ones going to have any money to shop there anymore and people will be drinking their brains out over the next few years. I can't lose.
Luckily me,Carol Ann and Ms Joann are printers. I'm sure they are hard at work like moi printing up one dollar bills. Noboby checks.
I do feel sorry for Marley. He,like myself has his 401K9 with AIG. He was planning on three story dog house in West Palm Beach when he retired.
Don't let it get you down ladies. Even though we'll all be living in an empty refridgerator box under a bridge we still have the power. Never vote for a Republican or Democratic again and throw them all out of office. Simple and quite effective. It will eliminate the so called aisle in Congress.
Enjoy the news tonight watching every candidate and Congressman blaming each other for not doing anything. Don't you love it! Hugs.

PS. Hey Carol Ann and Ms Joann. These are the times I wish I had a 10 color 28x40 Heidelberg Speedmaster Perfector. 18,000 impressions an hour in one pass and 66 up. That's 1,188,000 dollar bills an hour. Excellant! I will need some help on the cutter girls. Let me know and I'll buy the beer.

Hi Stephanie
Thanks so much for sharing that with me Hon. Now I feel so much better. I thought the night was starting to get better with the pizza making but no such luck.
My tenant Bootsey's toilet just overflowed an hour ago and leaked onto the second floor bathroom ceiling and ruined half the tiles. Another project for tomorrow. That's not the half of it Steph.
On friday my 1st floor tenant Will comes over and someone broke into his house and stole his stuff. Of course he made it easy and when he went to work thursday night he left his front door wide open. In Waterbury that's like putting out a sign"Come in and steal my stuff!"
They were also kind enough to break the whole frame and lock on the basement door and go shopping in the cellar. Just what I wanted to do all saturday. Rebuild a cellar door. I don't worry though. The crack Waterbury Police CSI team is on the case in their crime lab as we speak.
On Sunday my daughter Katie broke a paine of glass in her inside back door and after fixing that her garage door wouldn't go down. While working on it a wasp stung me in my neck. Tonight it looks like a freakin' goiter.I'll show you! It's gross. I can't wait to see what happens tuesday.
Again Steph thanks for cheering me up. You're a doll Hon. Hugs

There was a guy living under a bridge near us but Hanna swept him out to sea. They found his body a few days later. If we're all going to live under bridges I insist they fix this global warming hurricane thing. Especially since what I guess was the very edge of Kyle made it rain inside my house again. I hate when that happens.

We live in interesting times.

Jeannie,
Seems like it'd be hard for me to stay "in the closet" down in your neck of the woods with everyone breaking doors and/or leaving them open. Knowing you from watching you these past years, you'll get throught this with grace, style, and flair! Give 'em hell, girl!!

Not to worry gurls, what with the refineries being wiped out, the price of a barrel of oil, everyone loosing their jobs and the stock market crashing and our 401K's going to the K-9's, we'll all be too broke to buy gasoline and all the corn and soy beans are being converted to bio fuels which we can't afford either, so we will all stop driving anywhere because we'll have no money to spend and we'll starve to death and the earth will heal it's self of our man made global warming that much quicker without our 98.6 degree body temperature radiating our body adding to the warming problem and cooler earth will calm the tropical waters and the cock roaches will have free run over our rotting corpses.
