Saved by the bell!

Post by Jeannie »

Hi ladies
If you are unfortunate enough to live in the United States our Senate just reworked the 770 billion dollar bill that the House of Representitives failed to pass. It won by an overwhelming vote. Now it goes back to the House for another vote. How nice.
I'm so glad they listened to 95 percent of us voters who were against it. Better yet they added another 150 billion dollars of pork barrell spending. Now the bill will definately pass because it adds another trillion dollars to our debt.
I know some of you are saying"They have to pass this bill or things will get really bad." Excuse me? Things are really bad. If you think that our government, who was partners with Wall Street for creating this mess can solve the problem with only a trillion dollars given to the people who carried out their plans will make everything OK, you live in LaLa land.
This is just my opinion but when my 401K with AIG looks like a duckpin bowling score and is going down faster than Barbara Walters on a first date, there is no way Wall street is getting my future tax dollars. They're going down with the ship along with all of us.
All Americans will agree that we have a do nothing government that only makes matters worse. Then everyone says" But my Senator and Congressman is good." Three words people "Get a freakin' grip!" Sorry. That's four words.
If you vote for a Republican or Democrat ladies just brace yourself and bend over and grab your ankles and you won't even get dinner and movie. Hugs.

Love

you're right! I don't listen to the news all day, but when I heard this morning that something was "passed" and yet it was going to cost more.... ??

Although I think some sort of federal action is a good idea I am mystified at how the folks who said this was going to be too expensive are now saying it will be okay to approve of something even more expensive. I think the first vote was just posturing with the intention of passing the 2nd bill all along.

But hey, this IS the country that elected George W to be president. What can we really expect in terms of intelligence in either the government or the electorate?

I hear that things are much worse in a lot of the rest of the world. Not encouraging.....

Bravo, finally some sanity from the common person. I won't get going, its too early, but these people really believe that they know what is best for us. I am so sick of both parties.
