A tribute to Congress and Wall Street

Hi Girls
I was thinking about the Rescue bill just passed by our Representatives in Washington and had some thoughts on the subject. I decided to write a poem.

Wall street is happy, and feeling so gay
More money to fund their executives pay
I'm drinking champagne, I just popped the cork
The senate just added billions in pork

The bill is just perfect, it does nothing for us
It's great, is it not, to be thrown under the bus
Wool Research is something we all want to fund
And 200 million for producers of Rum

NASCAR got tax breaks for building new tracks
Another few millions to put on our backs
The list is so long to mention them all
The lobbyist there, were just having a ball

Tax dollars to Wall Street who created this mess
While I have no money to buy a new dress
They'll take a little money, and skim off the rest
And loan it back to us at high interest

As I sit here just thinking and drinking cheap wine
Congress and Wall Street are feeling quite fine
The deal was done, I knew it would pass
They just love to ram it right up our a--.

Hi ladies
Don't worry girls. The stock exchanges around the world feel the same way about the rescue plan. We are all going down with the ship but at least we'll look cute.
This might make you feel a bit better. Today the Senate had the CEO of bankrupt Lehman Brothers testifying. He's really hurting. In the last 6 years he only made 485 million dollars. Who can live on that? Hugs.

That poem was great. You should send it to Bush, maybe he could read it during his next national pep talk. Fran
