Well, as Beauty posted in the "Announcements" section (you do read that section once in a while, don't you, gals?), she's handed the moderator mantle to our sweet SO, Lefty.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you've done for us, both here on the forum, as well as, for many of us, in our personal lives. You've touched us with your humanity, your sometimes quirky inquisitiveness, your warmth, your common sense, your glee, and your generosity. Your dedication to the forum has made this a site almost impossible to surpass. I'm so glad you still intend to contribute. I would say you're a tough act to follow, but I don't want to intimidate Lefty too much. Let's just say you're a "Beauty-full" act to follow.

Welcome, Miss Moderator! I'm glad you accepted the responsibility and I'm positive you'll be more than up to the task. I wish you all the best in your new role and I think you'll find all the gals here co-operative to the nth degree. Imagine that! A CD forum moderated by an SO! I think this may be an Internet first! Lefty, I'm not sure what to say. Did Beauty fill you in how we are all
such a nasty bunch of woman, the likes of which she had never seen before?

I would not say we are interchangeable, but having had the pleasure of seeing the works of both ladies I think we are in good hands in either scenerio.

You have done a great job as moderator, you deserve your well-earned time away from your constant responsibility as moderator. As a former mainframe and minicomputer administrator, I believe I can understand that a break can be refreshing. Your efforts have certainly helped make this website my favorite one on the internet.

Ummmm..... as far as I know...

Beauty hasn't handed me all of the moderating responsibilities... rather she is sharing some with me.

As I understood it, the CD section is still hers and the SO section is still mine and we are sharing some of the other sections.

Am I wrong in thinking this Beauty???????

From the beginning posts of this thread, and Beauty's announcement, I assumed that she was giving up all moderator duties.

After I read your post, I looked again on the main index and DID notice that it DOES look like you are sharing the moderator duties on some of the sections.

Hi everyone,

Ok, here's the scoop. Because I know you all must be pulling your hair out.

Sharon and Shannon were going to give me a rest (I tried to fight 'em) but it was like an episode of a 70's detective show when they force the cop to take leave or else!

I still had my badge, but I was going to work on my site off duty. Fortunately Lefty spoke to Shannon and Sharon and so they devised a way to make things work for us all.

Changing of the guard wasn't meant like, "Turning over the White House." I meant it like "I'll be back in the morning" (like the Royal Guard) but the morning was going to be a week or two. Sorry about making it sound permanent.

Anyhoo.. I'm happy the commanders Shannon and Sharon called me back to duty. I missed the badge.

So you're stuck with me.

Seriously you all super duper warmed my heart with your incredibly kind words.
