What has happened to these 2 sites?
Fictionmania appears to be totally off line and Chrystals hasn't been updated since 10/14/08.

Per the FM email list, Fictionmania has been down since October due to computer problems. There was a hardware issue with the server, which was at the time located in another country. This issue has mostly been resolved, but the moderators have had to rebuild the site almost from scratch. They promise it will be back soon. I seem to remember that Crystal is dealing with some personal issues, and will update the site when circumstances permit.

If you're looking for a TG fiction fix in the meantime, may I recommend BigCloset TopShelf:

http://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/

A lot of the same authors that post to FM also post stories here. From the menu bar on the top of the page, you can access Fictionmania, StorySite, Bev's Balcony, Sapphire's Place and a number of pay sites. Those should suffice to tide you over till FM is back up.

As for Fictionmania, be patient.

I used to read Fictionmania all the time, but that was a while ago. I didn't even know it was down.
I read quite a bit from BigCloset too. I love the Tuck saga by Ellen Hayes.

Thanks for the update. I was just beginning to post some of my stories on Fictionmania and can't wait to have it up again. I'll have to try your recommended site.

I have posted a few stories, under Missy. That's my nickname for my fem side. They were older stories I had written but never had courage to post. Now I want to share these as well as be more honest about how strong my gender is influenced by feminine feelings.

My complaint about Fictionmania is the same as most other TG fiction sites - the stories seem rather heavily slanted toward gay sex and a certain kind of submissive genre that I find degrading.

Erin, I agree. Just wish there were sites with an understanding theme which we are all looking for.
