My Official DonnaT Appreciation Thread

Post by Elizabeth »

Hi girls,

I think in all my years here I have never taken the time to really thank DonnaT, not only for all she does, but for who she is. First, she is one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. Her ability to find and post relevant information on any subject under the sun is uncanny. From finding posts from years gone by to the latest breaking information that affects our community.

But more than that, she is a loving kind person and in my view really cares about the people of our community. She really wants to help people. She offers straight forward honest opinions, even when it may not be what the person wants to hear.

She greets every new member and makes them feel welcome and that they have arrived at a place where they will be embraced. As a moderator she is a problem solver and I have never seen her show even the slightest anger towards anyone.

I don't want to slight anyone and have paid tributes to my other sisters here at different times and hope that no one is offended. I just wanted to take a moment to say Donna, thank you for all you do for our forum and the many other forums you serve in our community. We all love you and this forum would not be what it is, without you.

Thanks.

Love always,
Elizabeth

I agree that the moderators here are the best that I have seen on the net. They have kept the trolls out or removed them fairly quickly. With out them I would not still be here.

Yay for Donna! She's the Google Queen--those links show up in her posts soon after someone says, "I wonder if..."

I only know about her fierce pool-playing abilities second-hand, though.

  *^^*

Thanks, I appreciate the sentiment. Truly.

But there are so many others who make this place what it is. And it's not just the moderators/administrators.

Everyone contributes in his or her own way, which, usually, makes for good discussion.

Kay,

I think it means "functions well in a tactical police unit." Heh.

Seriously, our Miss Donna is apparently jolly good at shooting billiards, yes. "Triple-combo two banks 15 in the side pocket, Donna?" I'm watching.

Ditto on all the kudos and thanks to Donna. I don't know how she finds all those links or older posts, but it's greatly appreciated!! =D> Having met her in person many times, in femme and drab, she's a beautiful person with a heart of gold.

As has been mentioned, it's a group effort, and the forum would not be what it is without all our wonderful members, no matter their Goddess level or title! =D> =D> =D>

BTW, you don't ever want to shoot pool with either Donna or Virginia, or even Danette . . . I think they make up and/or change the rules as the game progresses, to their advantage, of course.

However, I did win one game against Donna and Virginia, and if they "let" me win that game, well, I'll still claim victory . . . it may be my one and only win!! :sigh:

Thanks for your warm hearted advice over the years Donna , Elizabeth is right , you do need to know that we appreciate your efforts.

I remember going to a "back to School" get-together with a few sisters some years back , Donna made up a graduation certificate and E-mailed it to the organizer so that it would be presented to me on the day.

Yea Donna, me and Donna go way back,, she was one of the first people I met online. Very kind and very patient, never has a bad thing to say about anybody. There are quite a few other people I met on this forum that are similar, I guess like minds gather together,,,,
