Virginia and I wholeheartedly agree!

May we never forget all the many men, and women, who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of our country, and all our freedoms that seem to be taken for granted.

I agree, Carol Ann, it is such a big deal, what service members did in the past, and continue to do. I am glad I was able to enlist, even if my wool allergy kept me from being able to serve.

I want to add my appreciaton to all those who served...and especially those who paid the ultimate price. Sadly in my large neighborhood, there are all of three flags up including mine.. but what the heck...its a day off. I was a draftee, hated that, but did what I had to do. So, I salute everyone who even remembers what today is about...enjoy the day off, but take one minute to remember why we have this day!!!!
hugs

Thanks to the Americans who came to our aid to keep Australia a free country during the bombing of Darwin by the Japanesse in 1942.
My father always says that America saved our butts , had America not stepped in , we'd now be speaking a different language.
