Raven(SO), Elizabeth's wife, just left Montreal last night after having been a guest in our modest pad over the past week. Fun was had by all and she managed to get those things done that she'd come here to do.
I think she may have been a little nervous at first--the "Big French City," "face-to-face" strangers (up until a week ago, that is), a huge hop into the unknown, and all that jazz--but I do believe she had a ball here. So did Roxanne and I.
Raven is full of quirky wisdom; she's got a sense of humour as tall as her favourite Montreal skyscraper (remember, Raven: it's called the Laurentian Building); she totally bonded with our two ol' feline geezers, Méchoui and Milan (in fact, her love of animals is as limitless as the sky itself); and she's been a really good sport, allowing me to drag her to all the places I wanted to show her without her having once complained (except for the time the blister on her foot came "right" close to popping!
).We're both glad we could play host and hostess to you, Little Sister! We'll meet again, I'm sure.
Elizabeth: you cherish this gal. She's a fine, fine person. The stars were looking down on you both when you found each other.
