I passed a Kidney stone and didn't break a nail.

Not unimpressive, Aislin.

I wouldn't say it too loud, though--if one of the SO's has managed to give birth without breaking a nail, I think you can pretty much consider your thunder stolen.

Hi Aislin,

Way to go!
Hi Celia,
I have given birth to 2 children (naturally), and I have also had a huge (11 mm, which is not passable that large) kidney stone. I can say that the pain of the kidney stone was like having non-stop contractions. I had to have a procedure to break-up the stone, but once it was broken-up, they passed with no problems or discomfort.

But yes, giving birth was much different.

Hi Aislin,
Congrats. I am confused, though. I didn't realize those two things were closely realted!

Ouch! LOL
I wonder if Hallmark has a card for just an occasion.
But seriously, glad you're doing & feeling better.

I just remembered that episode of
Friends where Joey passes a kidney stone while Phoebe gives birth to triplets.

Congrats Aslin,
I had a stone many years ago and to my sisters who have never had the experience - don't! They say it is the closest that a male can come to experiencing child birth and I think that we all know who the stronger sex is and it ain't us! I whimpered and cried like a baby the whole time!
Love,
Deborah

Hey Girl,
I passed one last November. Glad the ordeal is over. Glad you made it through okay.
