Oh those transvestites! All they think about is clothes and make-up and going about dressing like a stripper..... ..rofl..

Thanks for the link, Susan. It is heartening to see that, even though the politicians and preachers can't get anything right, the scientists keep working quietly away.

And, Americans! Europeans! Doin' Science stuff! Whoda thunkit? There may be hope for us yet! :-k

Thank you Susan. Very hopeful indeed. Not surprising the media in the US totally ignored this.

Yes, Virginia, these lasers will remove hair, skin, blood, muscles, bones, and anything else organic in their path. SPF 60 suntan lotion is NOT enough protection for this.

Hugs,

Bernice

It's a good step although I it would seem practicallity is still far away. Still it's nice to read about.

There are a lot of things develoved in the lab that have poriential but never see production. One thing that comes to mind is the super condectors of a few years ago where they found materials that would conduct electricity with very little resistance (loss).

When it was first published they were useing liquid O2 as the coolant which is expensive so to speak, but they later got the temp up to where they could use other collants. I think the temp was up close to 0 F the last I heard. Since that time I have not heard any more about it.

Some things work in the lab but when it comes to comercial porduction are not commercialy viable because of cost or politics.

High temperature superconductors are being rolled out, alas 0F is no where near cold enough.

135K is the highest temperature I could find. That's still cold enough to require more than insulation to get down to there.
