What I've been up to

Post by DeeDee »

Hi all!!!! Just a short note to let you all know I'm still here. Since my care-giver stuff got much more intense, its really stifled Dee. I haven't been out in 5 months which hurts, since I was doing soooo good!!! Dad is very grumpy. sometimes violent, and it affects me a lot (and my SO, but she rolls with the punches). He's 94 now, legally blind, deaf and can't walk very well...so I have my hands full with decisions, doctors and keeping my sanity! I still get to dress as much as I can and a nightie every night, but I so much miss my adventures....perhaps one to come soon when I get someone to stay with him. Its just funny, we finally get where we wanta be and a curve ball gets tossed at us....sigh. But all is well, and I do follow the boards a lot....just not a lotta time to post. So take care all!!!!
Hugs

Hi DeeDee--
Being a caregiver can burn you out in many different ways. I hope you can get some stand-ins in the coming months. You need to have some time off, even if it's not enfemme.
