A question for the UK contingent?

I'm not sure this will even make it to the forum but....

I'm planning a trip to London this fall, and am wondering if anyone knows....when a booking is a single room for two people, and it says double or twin on the web site...does that mean two double beds or two twin beds....or one bed? I only ask because I tend to snore a bit ( sort of like a chainsaw) and my poor lovely wife wouldn't have a prayer if we slept in one bed......LOL.

Also, anyone know anything about City inn Westminster or Plaza on the river? Those seem to be the two favorites so far but????

And then there's Paris....

One double bed or twin beds means - One double bed (sleeps 2 people) and twin beds means there are 2 single beds in the room, (not 2 double beds)

Pat has it right. Please remember London is a tourist trap and is not representative of the rest of the UK. If time permits get away from London, there is so much to see and do away from London and it will cost less too. Also remember the UK seems rather more accepting of us than the USA does.

Well...it's done now. We've got tickets and will be visiting the City in a couple of months. Looking forward to it! There are only two cities I always wanted to see, New York and London. Been to New York several times, finally decided it was time to take another drop from the bucket list?

Wonderful place, London.

We got back a few days ago and....you were right, they didn't have twins, just a queen. However, we were so tired for the first few days from the time difference it didn't matter much...LOL.

We ventured as far out as Leigh on sea? (spelling probably bad, but Exxex) and enjoyed the countryside and warmth of a visit with an old friend of my Wife's mother. Most time was spent wandering London and I must say I was impressed and had a wonderful time. You folks have a lovely country to be proud of.

Then we hit Paris (took the train through the chunnel) and Paris was.....well I think we won't be returning there again. Our visit may have been tainted by the strike actions but in general we found it terribly expensive, not nerly as interesting, and...did I mention EXPENSIVE!???

Thanks for your input ladies.....wish I could have had more time and made contact with some of you but...maybe next time?
