Male menopause is it real?

Male menopause or Andropause is it real??
Hello ladies Malcolm here Cindy is taking a back seat for a while. I turned 49 in January and have notice for about the past two years the desire to be Cindy has been growing to a point where it is almost unbearable and would need to be Cindy 24/7.
I've always been in touch with my feminine side, yes I've cried at tear jerker movies and have always favoured the more feminine side of hobbies such as needlepoint, water colours, I love baking (my wife says I'm better than her) she love my banana nut muffins. Sorry I'm nothing like my Brother-in-law who thinks life revolves round shooting Bambi's dad, monster trucks and Nascar
Anyway I digress. As I said the desire has gotten to the point where it's painful I've found ways to femme up my daily life such as wearing a light pressed powder foundation and a touch of mascara.
Slight detour for a minute. for about the last 9 months I've been battling with breakouts along my T zone which has become really greasy despite gentle washing and an astringent the skin oils are back in a couple of hours, could this be hormone related??
Back on track, the pressed powder is helping to control the oils and the breakouts, the mascara goes well with the foundation as my eye lashes have turned grey almost white. I taken to wearing my 2" wedge heels as much as possible round the house (wife doesn't mind as this helps with my hip problem)
Basically what I'm saying is I'm confused so any thoughts, musings on the subject would be most appreciated.
Thanks ladies and thanks for being there.
Love you all,
Malc.

A lot of us here have commented that the desire to dress becomes stronger as we age. I think it has a lot to do with the change of hormone levels and also the change in the home enviroment (the kids are gone or almost gone).

It is a fact that after men reach 40 testosterone levels start falling. The selling of Viagra is aimed at the post 40 age group. I agree with Leeza, my desire to dress gets stronger as I get older, I can only put this down to the drop in hormone levels.
I am not a medic but this makes sense to me

My drive to CD has also increased considerably as I get older. I thought that this was due to opportunity as the kids have moved on, although my son still stays here for a few days every 5 weeks.
I had not thought about the lowering of tetesterone or hormone level also having a contributary effect, but yes that it makes sense now that is hase been suggested.

The problem is that doctors do not know as much about the endocrine system as they should. More seems to be known about menopause than andropause, most men do not know what andropause is. So if testosterone levels drop off, do estrogen levels stay the same? I have read that is why some post andropause males develop breasts. Would hair growth slow down also?

I agree with everyone on this subject, I for one know very well about male change of life (menopause) as I have been fighting in for nearly 20 years.
I have grow breast side effect of medication little or no hair on my body and all I want to do is be a women. As a lot of you know I dress everyday and am as far as I can go for now as to living full time.
Your body goes through many a change when you hit that time in life and at times it can be very hard to understand just what the heck is going on.
I for one have learned to live and enjoy my desires.

The desire to crossdress has waxed and waned through out my life. It really took off when I was about 50. I've often thought that it had to do with internal emotional changes more than anything else, primarily a transistion from having young children who adored daddy to having teenagers bitterly ungreaful that they were not orphans. There was also the extremely prosaic trigger of now that they had automatic checkout machines I could buy lingerie without dealing with a cashier, and the internet made information more available. But those were just little triggers.
As for the hormones, I've noticed that not just my crossdressing but my entire attitude towards myself, the world, and life seems to undergo some odd fluctuations that occur in cycles that last a couple of years. As if something rewires my brain. I'm not quite sure I understand a pattern, much less what causes it. It's often seemed to me that every 5 to 10 years I almost become a different person. I asked my sister about this one time and said "well that's because you have been several different people over your life"
I guess my point is that if this is hormonal then I've had a lot of hormonal changes. The one taking place in puberty is obvious of course. My understanding of what happened in my early 30's is less clear.

I guess I've not responded to having lower T levels, like others have. My desire to dress hasn't really changed. But hey, I'll only be 56 this year

Perhaps one obvious example of hormonal changes is that in the last few years, with perhaps a change in hormone levels, my dressing has become less sexual. Sort of like my sex life. When we are young we are terribly horny, later in life we become content with affection and cuddling. Likewise now my clothes feel like they are giving me a hug rather than seducing me.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Sorry I haven't been in sooner but life gets in the way.
Gillian raised a point that is true with me about breast growth. I've always been on the big side so there's always been extra chest flesh to put in a bra. Usually I can
almost fill out an A cup and with enhancers/forms I have my usual comfortable C cup.
As you might know from past posts I don't get to dress very often and the last time was about June last year with my wife away for the weekend. I noticed that, although I hadn't gained any weight (hadn't lost any either

) my breasts seemed to fill the cup much more than usual. In fact if I used the forms it was a little crowed in there.
So maybe with the change in hormones it can cause breast growth....I'm certainly not complaining.
Love as always,
Cindy (yeah I'm back

)

Women cry more easily, have a shorter temper and definitely order dessert! Men buy motorcycles, fast cars and young women......hehehe. Everyone ages and as our hormone levels change so do we whether it be testerone or menopause. Have fun with it and wherever you are or whatever you're doing - girls just want to have fun!!
