I just wanted to send you my appreciation for all your hard work bringing the new format online. It is a great improvement and I'm sure your work is appreciated by all. Having all the smilies and font color choices displayed in the composition page is a really nice touch.

Carolynn, you've very welcome. SL and I were both really sick and tired of spammers overwhelming the forum and wanted this upgrade to happen very, very much. Hopefully, we'll stay free and clear of the worst attacks for a good long while to come. And I strongly agree with Paula, it is so very nice to have new members signing up again.

It so great to see all the new members joining and it is gratifying and rather awe inspiring to think of the generous amount of uncompensated labor you have put in , to ensure that this differently gendered group of friends has a safe, comfortable, place to communicate, commiserate and socialize. You ladies are the best of the best!

Although none of us liked the year + wait, I do know that without Caith's hard work the upgrades to the forum, photo gallery, style modifications, tightened security measures, spambot counter-measures and migration would not have been possible nor gone as smoothly as it did. Caith was also able to get our webhost to perform a free upgrade not only to our php software but also to a newer shared server, and those upgrades went very smoothly, too! I won't say we were hiccup-free - there's no such thing in the computer industry - but our hiccups were kept to the minimum.


We have had 49 registrations since Saturday, April 7, 2012 (the day I re-opened registration) and of those I have accepted 41 new members . . . that averages to just under 3 members a day . . . and not a single spambot registration! Our first new member was none other than BabyDoll(SO), the lovely wife of Domonique, and we're glad to have finally met her!

On behalf of everyone here, I would also like to extend a huge welcome to all our new members, we're so glad you joined our cyber family!!

Forums, clubs, tribes, and lakes are alike in one respect. If a lake gets no new water, or cannot lose a little here and there to causes other than evaporation, it becomes sick and dies.

We needed new members, and still do, and always will. We probably came close to losing our forum than most of us realize.
