I'm bad with gifts

Post by Mr. Shawn »

Hello ladies,

My best friend's birthday is coming up and she's turning 18 and we'll be finishing high school this year and what not. We've been best friends for years. I want to give her something special to signify that she is my best friend and always will be. And I have NO IDEA what it could/should be. Does anyone have any suggestions? Much appreciated!!

Hi mr Shawn ^^_||

Hmm... I'm thinking jewelry ? Rings tend to be a personal choice or romantic if they're for everyday use, but a necklace might be the answer? That's the kind of thing that's precious and can be worn on special occasions, yet kept for a very very long time?

That's my 2p worth anyway heehee

Jewelry is good, and I agree that a necklace should do the trick, but remember if it is to last it has to be a good one, which means spending! Depending on her style a very nice silk scarf could be good. For my 21st I got given a lot of Teddy bears, and I always remember the girls who gave them to me. At the time I thought it rather odd how many I got given by the girls I knew since I portrayed a pretty masculine sort of guy, maybe they knew me better than I realised.

I noticed someone said about this maybe being romantic. In our relationship romantic is bad we've tried and failed on numerous occasions. So avoiding romantic would be best. So are pearls a step in the wrong direction trying to avoid romantic?

If your both comfortable with your relationship as that of 'close friends' then i doubt that she'd take pearls as being a romantic overture.
