Bleh . . .
Summer's just a day or two away, but it seems the dog days are already here in my neck of the woods. I feel like a dollop of bacon grease disintegrating on a patch of sun-baked asphalt. Everytime I see some grinning weather jockey on TV cheerily forcasting more of the same, I have to remind myself why I don't own a gun. Dress? I'd tear my skin off if I thought it would help.

LOL!!!
I don't mean to laugh, but you sound just like me when I rant about something! Plus The whole 'tearing off the skin' thing cracked me up!
I hear you about the heat though - it's been muggy here all week! It's been real hot & sticky, with rain almost every day!
Oddly enough tho, today is still hot, but not as humid, thank goodness... but hang in there, hon...

Celia,
Well for my powerlifting training, I love the hot weather, one, it helps me control my weight and two, I don't have to warm up as much.
As for dressing and going out- that's another story. One thing it does do is make me much more aware of my legs. I try very hard not to bruise them or cut them shaving because hose are hot and if you want to wear a mini or short shorts, the legs are important and scars and band-aids just don't get it. Be careful cutting the grass, you can get poision ivy, mosquito bites, etc.
Take good care of your skin, your face especially so that you don't need to wear a lot of make-up that can "run" in hot weather. Open-toed heels, sandels, flipflops with painted toe nails are sexy. Nice perfume carries better in the summer too. Smile! Adapt and as we powerlifters say, "Stand and Deliver!"
Love ya,
Deborah

What's Your Spring Shoe Personality?
By Lisa Kovalovich
Find out if mules, kitten heels, pumps, or thongs are right for you this season.
The quickest way to update your wardrobe for the season: Splurge on a new pair of shoes! To help you find the right pair for you, choose the description that best describes you below:
The Outgoing Socialite
You're always on top of the trends; you figure dressing should be fun and exciting, and you love to try something new. This season, you'll go for A-line skirts, striped pants and tops, and a crescent-shaped bag that's big enough to stash your fashion magazines and cell phone. Your perfect spring shoes are wooden-soled mules with uppers in bold-colored leather or striped canvas.
The Feminine Hipster
You live for girlie clothes and accessories -- a tank with a touch of lace, a baby-pink trench coat, a white patent-leather handbag. Your feminine style isn't all ruffles and flowers, though; you have a penchant for retro patterns and prints and prefer modern silhouettes to diaphanous, flowing ones. Your perfect spring shoes are flats or kitten heels with pointy toes and details such as bows or cutouts.
The Sexy Siren
For you, dressing is all about sex appeal. You love bias-cut skirts, plunging V-necks, and clothes with a pin-up feel. You never sacrifice allure for class, though, and your wardrobe is full of simple takes on sexy looks. Your perfect spring shoe is an open-toe pump with a '40s-inspired heel, in rich, colored leather.
The Natural Classic
You're not into trends or gimmicks. In fact, your spring wardrobe staples have been consistent for years: Cotton crewneck sweaters, twill trousers, and button-downs in candy colors with 3/4-length sleeves. And while your clothes are classic, you add touches of trendiness with your accessories. Your perfect spring shoe is a thong or mule in pastel leather or a classic print.
