It's snowing up here in Northern Michigan, don't get me started as yesterday I played golf in a golf skirt and a t-shirt. Sitting here and looking out at our first real snowfall of the season has me thinking about Christmas and Christmas Carols, after all Christmas Eve is 5 weeks from today. What is your favorite Christmas Carol?
Personally I have 2. Winter Wonderland as it has a lot of memories for me. The other might seem silly but it is "Here Comes Santa Claus" by Gene Autry. Don't me ask me why because I haven't a clue

but to me it isn't the Christmas Season until I hear that one on the radio.

I just love Christmas time and all the carols... though perhaps not quite the traditional versions that most people are used to, LOL! I like them just a little bit
heavier.
Having said that, one of my favourites is "God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen".

Oh Holy Night has always been my fav ever since I learned it many years ago. I used to sing it (as a solo) in church every Christmas until that fateful night some 54 years ago when my voice was violently assaulted by puberty during said solo. There were no encores that year....

Silent Night Holy Night or Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht! is my favourite carol in either English or German. I think some carols sound better in German. Drives my wife crazy when I switch from English to German mid way through.
Her favourite is Carol of the Bells sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

The parody song walking round in women's underwear has kind of ruined the walking round in winter wonder land song for me.
