Before we all head out to the BBQs and picnics to overindulge in all those foods they tell us are bad for us and throw back a cold one or two pause for a second and say a silent prayer of thanks for all of those who have given life and limb to protect those freedoms we all have come to take for granted.

Well said Sarah. On the way up to our picnic the DJ on the radio was going on and on about all of the veterans that are serving our country and thanked them for their service. A great thing to do. My wife piped up, wrong holiday guy. I think often people just think of holidays as days off from work and do not think of the meaning of the holiday.

For those that died to keep our country free we give you great honor.

But let's keep that thought until November 11 for us vets
