I'm Back From Vacation

Hi all,
I'm back after almost 10 days away - my wife and I left early on Friday the 16th, drove a little over 200 miles and our annual lunch with my uncle and aunt in their 90s, and my relatives who lived nearby before continuing on another 100 miles to my wife's older sister around Saratoga.
The next day, we took my sister in law with us to a cottage we rented in southern Maine where we stayed for a week. The sister in law's GG housemate is a Maine native and was there already visting her family. The following day, my youngest sister in law came up from around Westchester NY with her son, my 20 year old nephew (his younger brother was working and couldn't come up). My wife's oldest sister didn't come this time.
We have been at the cottage twice before, the last time 8 years ago. There is now a screened in porch on the back to better enjoy the tidal marsh in the back - swans, egrets, other birds. The private entrance to the ocean beach was right across the street.
Every day we walked the beach and all but one we sat by the ocean and swam. It was fun catching a wave on a boogie board. Out of the whole week only one day was really rainy, and when the going got tough, the tough went shopping - there was a large outlet mall area a short drive away. We didn't really go to many tourist places, one visit to a trolley musuem (with rides on 2 different restored old one) and a round of miniature golf.
Every day but the last, I had lobster in some form or other - either boiled or lobster salad roll. I also had crab and shrimp. Most of the time we ate in - we had a good seafood cook and several good seafood stores with takeout nearby.
Saturday morning was time to head back to New York State, to Saratoga area sister in law's where my wife and I stayed over - got to see a neighbor's horses and new foal.
This morning we started back, got to Buffalo at lunch time. After we ate, got home, unloaded the car, napped and got groceries.
This is my first girl time in 10 days, but we had a great time.
It's great to be back.
