Amazon afternoon

It was a day for the amazon princesses at the olympics, the shot put. My favorite, Astrid Kumbernuss from Germany didn't make the finals, but her team mate Nadine Kleinert did and got the bronze, behind a Russian and a Cuban. As one who is basically "their size" and who describes her look as "androgynous amazon princess" it was a moment of affirmation that where I am in the world is perfectly ok
