Water, World Peace and The Equinox!

The poet Ralph Waldo Emerson Wrote:

" What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us "

---I have missed all of your wonderful insights and steady passion for realization.

As I travelled through the world of Peaceful concepts the last couple of months I began to understand my version of the unique nature of human beings and human-polarity---

It's like a battery with a + and a -

It is quite natural to be drawn like a magnet into polarity---at least for me---the fracas and fray of world events is the same on a grand scale...quite natural...peace and violence...passion and apathy.

I now consider concepts like yin and yang in a different way than before.

They dance together and create this world.

I am welcoming the coming equinox this week as a way to celebrate this wonderful mix of female and male energies that we have swirling inside of us---our within is so AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I left here a couple of months ago, I looked at world peace as a sort of political concept--lauding and respecting the web of receptivity that joins us all.

I don't see it that way now. My experiences the second half of this summer grew along with the peas in my garden ( and were eaten too!!)

strangely I see that hate and love are joined at their roots---and that this is okay---and that this world is mostly joined in its purest way by water.

All else has a natural polarity that is the turner of the wheels that are our fates.

I think that water...a fluid conductor...is what I was really seeking when I left here speaking of World Peace.

For some reason this makes so much sense to me that I was very happy to come back here and share this with you all...in a word: WATER!!!!!!

As I write it it seems to slip from my hands into something I can't quite relate!

I will say that I missed you all very much( ANd that I just dug out some lovely sweaters to go with this crisp northern air!)-----I'm happy to be back and am enjoying catching up on posts!--------------------------------------- 8) Tea-cake

TC,
Did I ever miss you honey! I am glad you are back, guess you saw the candle we left burning in the window?! I am happy you enjoyed your sojourn into another realm - life is such a mystery when you actually reach out and try to take hold of some aspect of it and like you say it is like water, it just slips through your fingers with only the remenants of it left in our hands. I look forward to your insights as usual.
Love,
Virginia
PS: I don't know if you knew I changed my name from Deborah to Virginia as a way to honor my mother and Irene to honor my grandmother. I think they would be proud of their "daughter."

I did see the candle! And I think Virginia is a very pretty name...cool that there is that meaning behind it---I haven't yet found any posts about your trip to that convention---was it Atlanta?---I'll keep prowling in the archives when I have time

...and to all of you:

THANKS FOR THE WELCOME BACK!!!!!
DArlene!, The Ever Patient-Beauty!, Jassmine!!!LORNA!! and Alexandra! and LOVE too!!! and all of these familar voices I didn't name but whose posts I really enjoy.( and to the lovely CJ: I hope you are still writing lots!)

. Isn't it something this whole internet thing? Seems like not too long ago there was nothing about CDing that I ever ran accross save the odd Anne LAnder's newspaper column or in a book or movie( YEECH! to Silence of the LAmbs though I love Jodi Foster)---

Even just short visits here really lift me up---reminds me that we are UNIQUE!

so I'm off to Creativity Corner to soak in some reading-----Bye for now-----------------AND HAPPY AUTUMN EQUINOX!!!!!! Only twice a year do we all have = light/night...too cool.
