All mine go to the outbox first. I thought that when the person PMed read their message, then it would move to your sent box. Appears to work that way to me.
Your sisters are on the ball; once you send a PM, it goes to the Outbox and stays there until the recipient reads the message, at which point it disappears. In other words, you always have a "grace" period in which to reconsider or amend your PM.
Might that be why I received an email stating I had received a PM and then when I went to read it there was nothing there? Perhaps the sender had reconsidered and unsent it before I got to it?
