Girls drive different cars from Guys, what do you drive?

Girls in the UK tend to drive the same cars. eg. Vauxhall Corsa, Fod Ka, Toyota MR2, BMW 3 Series, VW Golf, and if their partner has a big salary a Spacewagon with which they like to dent the doors and scratch the paintwork of lesser mortals cars in the Mall carparks.

I like to dress as feminine as I can as often as I can, but I would never drive a woman's car. That is one thing I wont compromise on.

I drive a powerful Ford Mondeo 2.0L Turbo. I wouldn't be seen dead in anything smaller.

What do you drive? Is it a girly car? Or is a phallic symbol like mine?

My car was never intended to be a symbol of either my masculine or feminine side. It was simply the most affordable thing at the time I bought it. It's a 95 Ford Escort, similar to this

except that it's a different color. Ford calls it "electric red", but it's actually more of a fuschia. Depending on the light, it might look red, pink or even purplish.

Macho friends used to make fun of my "pink car", but it's become a kind of "badge of honor".

Like Darlene said, women in my area drive motorcycles, semi-trailers and everything in between.

I drive a Buick Century because it is comfortable, gets reasonable gas mileage and fit my budget at the time I bought it.

My last car was a 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - 5.7L LT1 engine (same as in the Corvette) 6 speed, T-tops, leather - the car was sweet, but after a few years they do cost a pretty penny to maintain... :? so this summer (due to being unemployed most of the year) I had to sell it.

And yes, many GGs here drive the same cars that men drive. Even sportscars, muscle cars and pickup trucks know no gender.

I have a '98 Jag XJ 8. the speedometer goes to 170. I know it will do 150, I just ran out of road. Does that qualify as a GG car? It is kind of "tan" in color!?
I can not tell a lie, I also have an Expedition, but I need it to pull my boat.
What can I say??
Love,
Virginia

A toyota (S) wagon in girly sky blue , ( all I can afford )

I have a rigid truck licence for work but I haven't driven a truck for about 2 years.

Every second car on the road here is a four wheel drive , they are great for driving along Kangaroo tracks up the side of a mountain but most people dont take them out of the city.
Anyone would think that you could go on a safari tour to K-Mart in the next suburb .

Girl car?

I think mine kind of fits. It's a 1995 Mercury Cougar, electric red (medium red metallic clearcoat that's chromatic). I've had it since new and the female sales rep. at the dealership (whom I've known forever) said, yes, most of the Cougars when sold new were sold to women, 40-60 (she herself had a twin to mine as a demo). Love it, plan on keeping it as it still fits my lifestyle. There's been some repairs, but it's cheaper than car payments.

I drive a snow white Mazda 4x4, standard. Mind you like others have said GG's around here drive everything so it fits in in either mode.

Hi Kerri is Green with envy.
My Mondeo is a pussy cat compared with some of your motors.

The fuel price prevents Mr UK Average from driving gas guzlers like Pickups and Firebirds. I am currently paying $6.35 a gallon here in Aberdeen.

My Ford was the right car for my budget, it cost me $16000 last year, second hand.

hugs

Kerri, Are you kidding????? $6.25 a gallon???? They are talking about our gas going to $3.00 a gallon. I don't see how a lot of us will be able to cover $3.00 but $6.00 -WOW! I think it would probably shut down the US economy! "They" are blaming it on the environmentalist because we (US) have not been able to build a refinerary here in some 20 years and the number of cars and the demand has far out - stripped the ability of our antiquated refineraries to keep up with demand! True or false, I don't know I only know I have gone back to looking a motorcycles.

As a girly guy who used to live in the UK but now lives in California, I can honestly say that before I left the UK I changed my car from a Ford Mondeo sedan 2.0 litre to a Nissan Micra 1.1 litre. I did this really for economy reasons becuae of the price of gas in the UK (or at least that's the reason I told everybody) but secretly I loved it because in the UK a Micra is THE most girly can you can have. Women in the UK usually always drives smaller cars than me. You can'r get much smaller that a Micra.

Here's a link to a car that looks exactly like mine.

actually, in the UK and most of the world, the bulk of the price is a tax whereas in the USA, the tax is low. If the USA taxed like the UK did, we'd have enough money for bush to invade 4 more countries.

Up to a few years ago, I used to commute to work in a 1958 yellow MGA. But when I got too inflexible to get in or out of it without a shoehorn, I switched to Toyota. Current one is a basic Corolla (white).
If I had the cash, I'd have a Porsche -- or at least a Miata.
