But I will say that Boston played very well tonight, as well as these past few games, and I wish them good luck in the World Series!!

Hi Lorna--
What a series that was! I'm not a big Boston fan, but it was too much to expect them to dig out from an 0-3 hole. I was just amazed.
Someday, Cincinnati will be back in the series. Someday...

I renamed my friends house last night after the Yankees lost. There was naught but gloom in Mudville for sure!!! He has been a real Yankee fan since his early childhood, and unlike some of our mutual friends I do not give him a hard time over it. After all, I could care less about winners or losers in the business of baseball. I only told him about changing the name of his home from Chez Angelo to Mudville, and told him it would likely stay that way 'til the Yankee comeback next year.

He really was not too amused, actually.

After all the years and opportunities, the Red Sox played the last 4 games better than the Yankees.
I am a Yankee fan, but they just didn't have the pitching this time. The Red Sox outplayed them and earned their way to the World Series.
In the National League, I would like to see the Astros make their first World Series.

The Cardinals just won. I hope this will be a good World Series, even without the Yankees.
