What TV shows do you watch?

Post by KristenS »

I got thinking last night about the shows I regularly watch and it seems, well girl. "Despirate Housewives", "ER", "The Swan" and the "semi-sanitized" "Sex and the City" reruns on TBS (too cheap for HBO). Other all time favorites form the past "Cagney & Lacey" (had a big Sharon Gless crush when it was on), "Ally McBeal" and "Cybil"

I enjoy Desperate Houswives, too :) I also watch South Park, CSI Vegas, a slew of forensics shows, quite a few history shows (LOVE the History Cahnnel 8) ), Great American Biker Build Off, Monster House, Monster Garage, Boston Legal ( I think that's the title) and a new show on Comedy Central called Drawn Together.

Good poll!

As much as I detest reality TV, I must say that am intrigued by He's A Lady.

I also like to watch the Daily Show with John Stuart.

I'm also a South Park nut... #-o I love South Park!!

I also like to watch That 70s Show whenever I can catch it.

Is there enogth space on the server for the amount of shows I like. Should I go by day or by week. The number is so huge I do not think I can name them all. I agree the daily show is one my favorites (watching it now).

OK here are some of them.
Stargate SG1, Starga Atlanta, The Simpsons, Arrested Devlopment (please people take a look at this smart funny show), King of the Hill, Football (when my favorite team is playing), Nascar (to see who is going to whipe out this week), CSI (only the orginal), Father of the Pride (please NBC renew this great show), Drawn Together (talk about faking a reality show), West Wing (but I do not know for how much longer), Most shows on the discover channel such as Monstar Garga, Monster House, American Chooper, American Casino, 24 (yes it is returning in the srping with 24 straight episodes), Monk (really like Tony Shalhoub can not wait for the new sesion), LOST (an odd but good drama on ABC), ...

UHM ok I think I shall now stop as most of you have already skipped over the list but there are so many more shows out there I can say I love to watch and I can go on and on and on and on.

I'm a scifi fan, so it almost goes without saying that I like Star Trek: Enterprise and all of the other series in reruns. I also watch Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. On the other hand, I also like Law & Order, and I try to watch all of those that I can, original, Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent. I'm looking forward to the new spinoff L&O: Trial by Jury, starting in January. I also sometimes watch Las Vegas and Crossing Jordan, though I missed the recent crossover shows. When I can, I watch reruns of Angel and Charmed on TNT.

Correction: I just learned last night that the Crossing Jordan/Las Vegas crossover starts Sunday. My VCR will be running hot!

Hi all,

Well, as a rule, I don't watch as much television as I used to (I can no longer stand all the advertising--same goes for radio). But, if I am watching, and I happen to catch the following shows, I will sit throught them with pleasure: Will & Grace, Frasier (reruns), Jeopardy, BBC World News, Nova, The Nature of Things, The Simpsons, The Passionate Eye, J.E. (Journalisme d' Enquête, a French-Canadian consumer advocacy investigative journalism program), The Red Green Show, This Hour Has 22 Minutes (a current affairs comedy show), and a few others. As far as news go, I try to catch European and Canadian broadcasts as well as American ones.

I miss: Picket Fences, The X-Files, Hill Street Blues, Sanford and Son, Star Trek: Voyager, the original Twilight Zone and Outer Limit series, The Thunderbirds, Dean Martin's Celebrity Roasts, and M.A.S.H. All now available on DVD, no doubt.

These days, I just listen to music on CD or to the music mixes I created on my XBox. There are just too many talking heads on the boob tube (or, is that boob heads on the talking tube? :-k ).

Love,
CJ

Any Transfans on board here?

I'm one. I like anime quite a bit , mostly the dark stuff, though.

Here's a small list:

FF: Unlimited
Cowboy Beebob
Transformers (Any and all except for Beast Wars)
DBZ

I'm also into shows like Family Guy, Futurama, and the Simpsons.

Outside of animation, I don't really watch that much TV outside of the news. I guess I'm a weirdo like that.

I'd probably watch He's a Lady, but I can't considering my current position.

I hate being forced to act like the guy that I am not.

One show that I would think would appeal to T girls is the daytime reality series, "Starting Over." My wife and I have been watching it since it started last year. We have the VCR set up to record it every day at noon, and we watch it in the evening. There are certainly some soap opera aspects to it, but I must say it frequently pushes my "girl buttons." ***()***

The general idea of the show is that six women from different parts of the country, with different backgrounds are allowed to live communaly in a luxurious mansion. Each woman has a unique set of problems and is seeking to make changes to her life that will give her a chance for future happiness. For some it's simply losing a lot of weight; for others its a shot at a new career, for others it may be healing from an abusive relationship. Once a woman reaches her goal, she 'graduates' and a new woman arrives to take her place in the Starting-Over House. Occasionally a woman will leave or be asked to leave. It's fascinating to watch how the cast members interact in this all-woman environment -- with each other and with their so-called life coaches.

I don't know if it's available in Canada or the UK, but for anyone who may have a chance to see it, I strongly recommend it.

Celes

I have disagree with you on the Transformers issue I thought the beastwars was great just from the visual standard but when ever I see the new one on Engergon The animation just makes me sick it seams so increably cheap. The orginal series I still believe is the best. I do agree about about Cowboy bebob. It is fanastic (that is once I saw the first episodes started watching orginaly in the middle).

Oh yea if you did not already know Family Guy will returning to fox I think this month. I will have to find out for sure.
