An open invitation

Hiya, I gather from reading previous threads that life for TG people is not too hot across the pond in Uncle Sams territory.
Well why dont you come to Europe and set up home here. Sure our taxes are higher, our housing is expensive and our fuel is ****(well, hmm, awfy dear).
But we have just passed legislation permitting same sex marriage and the protection of inheritance rights for all people who live together regardless of gender.
Legislation is also at an advanced stage to permit the permanent amendment of a male birth certificate to female following gender re-assignment surgery.
There is a critical shortage of experienced engineers and professionals dental and medical sciences...
The climate is mild, crime is, well, there is crime. Mostly drug related... some things don't change. And there are thousands of TG people too.
Your all welcome!
Kerri

Hi All and Kerri,
While your post certainly has the appearance of presenting a picture that the grass might be greener over there. I would like to suggest that we extend an open invitation to work together towards getting this forum's atmosphere back on track.
The recent damage caused here as a result of the hate-filled election, in the U.S. and the increased pugnacity of many members and posts, now makes this forum an unpleasant place to visit, for many.
Is it possible to do something about this? Do we all want to? Can we enter into this and keep it civil?
Any ideas anyone? Who is willing to try? And how should we go about it?
Love Darlene.

I think, in reading Shanon's "Announcement" that things will get "back to normal" or some of the sisters will not be around!! I agree! the primary purpose of this forum is to have a safe, friendly, empathic and helpful place where we can go to get and give suggestions, advice, cry for each other and develop friendships.
Love,
Virginia

Hi Sis,
Thanks I agree with you, and with what the administration, is doing. Just a note; I placed my post before they placed theirs.
I am glad they have stepped up to the plate, and are taking responsible action.
Having said that I would still like to extend an invitation to our sisters who are affected by this, and to try and encourage them to work towards genuine reconciliation.
Love Darlene.

I thank Kerri for her cordial invitation but I think I will remain here in the US. Perhaps, in some small way, I may be able to contribute to the reconciliation of the US citizens.
I also fully support the actions of the site administrators and will do my best to remain civil toward all other members.
This has been and shall be a wonderful place for crossdressers and their families to find support.
Thank you Shannon, Sharon(SO) and all of the Moderators for all you have done for us!
