Farewell but not good bye.
I am taking a "leave of absence" from this place. Not because of what happened here this past week but because of what has not happened with me these past few months.
Some of you may have noticed that, in recent posts I have made reference to the fact that my need or desire to dress is dormant. I haven't dressed even a little for more than three months. I got out some of my favorites the other day and... nothing. They were just so many pieces of inert cloth in my hands. So they are, again, packed away until...???
Also as I read through the posts here I find myself increasingly unable to relate to those of you who are actively dressing. I find it difficult to find meaningful words to contribute. I am no longer able to feel your joy or share your pain.
So I am going to be away from the forum for a while. I don't know how long that will be. But please know that you will all be in my thoughts.
There are so many of you who have helped me so much in my own quest for knowledge and understanding. I cannot thank you enough. I only hope that in some small way I have managed to help a few of you as well.
My journey is taking a new path. I know not where it leads. I only know that I am being drawn in new directions and I feel compelled to follow my heart. I hope that, one day, our paths will cross and we will meet again.
I love you all! Farewell for now.

Hi Kathy--
Strange feeling when that happens, and who knows why? If you can walk away for now, that's all to the good. The topics here would definitely not interest one who doesn't share the pursuit.
Take care of yourself out there.
Love,
Anita

I thank you all for your kind words. As the title of my post implies, it is not my intention to leave this forum for good. I will just be away for an extended period of indefinite length.
Walking a new path does not necessarily mean leaving old friends. And my time here hasn't been long enough to consider you "old" friends. Most I still consider "new" friends. And, as I haven't that many friends to begin with, I prefer to hang on to all I can.
I will stop by from time to time. Mostly I'll just lurk in the background. But, at times I may toss in my two cents. As Anita said, most topics won't be of interest to me as long as I don't share the pursuit. However, my path to this point has been similar to many of yours. If my experiences can benefit someone else, I will share what I can.
So I say again, thank you all for your support. I may be on a new path but I don't believe I will ever be very far from here.
My love to you all!
