6 year old boy for sexual harrasment

Here is another political correctness gone overboard story

A 6 year old Brisbane schoolboy poked a female classmate on the bum while fooling around , the boy was sent to the principals office and told that sexual assault was serious and would not be tollerated by the school.
The boy was then suspended from the school for 24 hours.

A 6 year old does not understand sexual assault and should not have been punished in this way , a simple explaination given to the boy of inapropriate behavior by a teacher would have been sufficient .

The boy is only 6 and learning , the principal has over-reacted big-time and attracted media attention.
The principals over-reaction is being investigated by the Queensland education department.

Sexual assault (by a six-year-old?) will not be tolerated?! Interesting, considering that apparently mental incompetence can get you a job as principal of the school in question. :-k

I remember there were cases like that around where I live, in one a boy (maybe 6 or 7 IIRC) and a girl were horsing around and he tore a button off her blouse, the next day he was expelled for Sexual Harrassment. Everyone who heard of it thought, 'how ridiculous!' How can it be sexual harassment when they don't even know what sex is? Silliness. [-(

And another thing. Notice how it's always the boys who get this treatment, never the girls? Hell, I remember playinmg w/girls at that age and being *spanked*. Yes, how well I remember...

When I was six the girls would chase me , pull me to the ground and kiss me.
It was called kisschasee.

The only problem I have with this behavior is that it didn"t continue into adulthood

Hi,

Kids many times show more sense than adults. So rediculous. The principle should be taken to the wood shed.

She should be fired , If my kids had someone like that as a principal I would remove them and put them in another school instantly

Merinda, I can't believe some of the people that are in charge of teachers and kids can be so lame brained. What an idiot. Where has the innocence gone? kristen
