I got my new car yesterday. It's a Mercury Mariner, a small "crossover" suv that's a sibling to the Ford Escape/Maverick (Europe) and the Mazda Tribute. It's medium red with a light beige leather and suede interior with brushed chrome trim and totally loaded. Target market for the car is women 30-45 and the advertising is very much directed at that market, whereupon it hit me!

It has a name, Bree. Not for the character on "Despirate Housewives" but for Sabrina Duncan from the original "Charlie's Angels". That was Kate Jackson's character and Bree was the nickname. During the show there was a tie for Ford and Farrah did Mercury commercials so voila!

Way to go girl!!!! Just remember with that suede interior, don't wear velvet. It acts like velcro. I wore a real nice pair of velvet slacks to a movie theater once and when I tried to move in the seat = well first it almost pulled my slacks off. Actually now it was pretty funny, but not so when it happened!

Thanks for the tip, no velvet in the wardrobe yet, but it's something to remember. Last night I had to show my spouse how to get in and out in a lady like manner as she was just making the "big step". When getting in sit on seat first and then swing legs in, when getting out, swing legs out and then stand. Princess Diana had this perfected. Whether she was getting out of an old Rolls or Daimler, a Land Rover or a Jag, she knew how to do it.
