A very funny movie most of the time.
In a nut shell we are all different sexually.
Opressed human beings with guilt complexes.
I recommend the picture.
But has anyone read his book?
Does he say anything about crossdressing?

Dear Elinor:
As a youngster with a voracious interest in all things sexual, I recall visiting our little Carnegie library and asking the librarian to let me look at Kinsey's book, which in those days was kept in a locked case. She actually let me look at it (it was a special classification of some kind, so I could only look at it while sitting in the library, at the table right in front of her desk -- or so she said

). Alas, I remember almost none of it; no doubt most of the scientific jargon went right over my 12-year-old head.
Anyway, your question was intriguing enough that I googled "Kinsey" and "Transvestite." Eventually I found that Kinsey only noted in passing that homosexuality and transvestitism (as it was always called in those days) were NOT analytically related, and that the TV phenomenon was not sufficiently well defined to allow any separate study. Of course a lot has changed since the 1940s.
Thanks for a provocative post.

I'm eagerly awaiting the DVD release of this movie. I don't believe I've actually read the book, however some time ago I sort of recall an in depth coverage of Kinsey in one of my college courses.
