Surreal Life episode triggered a STRONG thought

Anyway - if anyone has been following the show Surreal Life, I saw the last episode entitled Dirty Laundry where Da Brat said to Chyna "I still don't know if you’re a woman or a man." And it was laughed off not only by everyone in the audience, but also by the network itself! In fact that was a promo tagline for their little "best-of" clip episode!
Well, I guess in some screwed-up way it's nice to know that if GGs can be mistaken for men (even in a joking manner) then we as CDs perhaps should not worry as much about "being read" by some rude a-holes. Think of every taller GG you might know, or heavier GGs or less "attractive" GGs, or hairier GGs, or in Chyna's case muscular GGs. I guarantee that she has had something rudely said to her face in regards to her appearance. Just think of how she would have handled the situation. What would she have done? Ignored the rude comment? Laughed? Cried? Gotten angry?
Maybe this irritates me more than it should, but I have to say that only an immature little piece of dung would open their mouth & verbalize their thoughts that way. But hey, what do you expect?
1) It's TV. As much as I know that TV is nothing but sensationalist CRAP, this particular incident was more than a fair representation of what actually goes on in real life. I've seen it. I've lived it. Many of us have.
2) This society is so OBSESSED with a cookie-cutter, waify scrawny Jessica Simpson image of what defines "beauty". Our society is getting DUMBER every day.
And it makes me want to hurl because it insults the intelligence of the few left out there who still dare do something called THINKING FOR THEMSELVES.
Why else has bulimia been an issue with so many women for several decades now?
We all have to be "this tall" or "that thin"... so so sad. (Anyone want to buy a 19" TV?) It’s as tragic as the time my sister laughed out loud at a midget when she was 8. But in her defense she was only 8!!
Adults ought to know better. However adults RARELY ever do if at all.
We all lament over the pain that many TSs live with & the cruel treatment that they receive in society, but this just goes to show that they are NOT alone. Think of the millions of GGs who deal with the same crap simply because of certain physical features. It really turns my stomach.
Many CDs have a fear of going out, but let us stop & think of all the TSs and GGs I have mentioned who have no choice. How else will they survive? They can’t simply “revert back” the way we do. There is no "safe haven" of "blending back in" for them.
The only problem we all (CD, TS, GG, male, female, black, white, short, tall, old, young, fat, skinny) face in this world is that we do NOT live in a mature society. Period.
That, in a nutshell is the source of every hate crime that has taken place since the dawn of man.
And even in the year 2005, too many out in this world will never evolve past an 8th grade mentality. And that is a FACT.
Thoughts???
