I just recieved word thru my e-mail that a very dear CD friend of mine, Vicki, passed away yesterday.
Vicki was one of the most dedicated attendants of the Femme Fever parties - Vicki and I used to just chit chat about everything (back when I still had the time to get out once in a blue moon.) She was a very sweet person, very intelligent and funny. This news truly came as a shock.
I never even knew she was ill. That's how out of touch I have been. So "dedicated" to a damn minimum wage job that when friends get sick I don't even notice.
Okay, I will put aside the anger at myself in order to stay focused... A very dear friend and a wonderful person has passed on and she will be missed. I shall keep Vicki & her family in my thoughts.
Dont blame yourslf for being too busy to notice her illness , when you live in a big city your lifestyle is go! go! go! everyones in a hurry and people expect things to be done on the spot.
You spend most of your time at work in a rush and others have expectations of you when you are home , I find it very hard to ballance work , family , friends and hobbies.
Lorna, I can't believe I am not sure who Vickie was. If there is a picture of her on the FF site, could you direct me to it? I probably knew her more than I realize. I hate that I can never remember names.
