I once saw him keep an entire amateur "run" con that got too big for them to handle afloat, and that was before those guys were even getting paid!! Doohan was a good man, and he will be missed.

Hello ladies
I was saddened by the news about Jame Montgomery Doohan, one of the long original members of the enterprise crew. Many times I have said "beam me up Scotty" which was never actually said on the show, personally I wished that it was real life... differences put aside, accpetance of all of earth but never once seen a cdr? Strange that.
Scotty... may the wind behind your sail keep safe into your next generation and beyond. You will be sadly missed but not forgotten.
