What Is Important

Post by Aislin »

Alrighty then, here is the NEWS and what I have been doing.

Health: Getting better in May I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. The expenses have kept me from feeling well enough to write. The extra worry I guess. My health is much better as in the 3 months I have dropped 2 dress sizes. ( Was never really sure I would be able to post that on a site that would understand.) in the past 2 years I have dropped 70 pounds and 11 inches from my waist. (Means I can buy off the rack at Walmart, I'll mention this later) Focus, Focus - any way all of my health issues have been addressed, now I fight them together instead of seperately. Means less meds (hence less cost), and the ability to explore mor options because I am reminded of whats important.

What is Important?

Puppies, babies, Smiles at strangers, clothing I am comfortable in, attitudes that make me smile, Quotes.

" Either get busy living or get busy dying. just get busy."

Something Like: Life is not meant to end in quiet docility, but to slide in sideways yelling" Holy manure, What a RIDE!"

Friends that understand why. Friends that will tell you to get off the PITY wagon, pull your self up by the garters and go have some fun!. Friends that enable you to get all dressed up and have somewhere to go.

Friends like here, that reach and touch the heart even when you may not post. Friends that speak and write what is in their mind at the time, sharing a thoughtful glimpse inside her heart, without strings or reservations.

Hi Aislin,
I had wondered where you had ventured off to. I am really glad you are back and have discovered what you can now fight AND WIN!!! To drop those dress sizes is great!!! There is an old story out of Africa: When the gazelle wakes up it knows it has to out run the fastest lion to survive. When the lion wakes up it knows, to eat, it has to be able to out run the slowest gazelle - the moral is when you wake up you best be movin!!!!!
I think you are movin, honey and don't look back!!!
Love ya,
Virginia

Hi all,

Great post, Aislin! 8) Glad to see you pop in and to know that things are going well. Like Beauty, I agree with those things you say are important. They are. To me, they can be summed up in one word: friendship.

Love,
CJ
