Goog morning ladys,
Can anyone tell me where I can download a shareware photo editing program?

Yesterday Wal-Mart had these little cheapie digital cameras on clearence
so I purchased one. Never had one before so figured I would try it out.
Want to take some updated photos of Carol Ann for this site as my only one is kinda old. Merry Christmas everyone (--) Carol Ann

Stephanie H, yes to all of your questions. It came with software also, but don't know how much it will do. If it is like the software that comes with a photo CD they don't do much except help you put it in an e-mail.

You may want to try a free download of a program called Gimp

If you use the dreaded Windows OS look here:
http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html

You need to install two program to get it to work, the instruction are on the page, just click the link above.

I installed it to check it out for my daughter, but I wound up buying Photoshop for her. She's quite the artist and I looked at it as an investment. It looked very good.

I've been using Paint Shop Pro for many years. Its very good for photo work like Red Eye Removal and resizing. PSP was just sold to Corel.

Here are some choices:

Gimp - free
Paint Shop Pro - $99
Adobe Photoshop - $585

You can get Photoshop Elements for $99. If you have a SAMS club membership, they usually have it for $49, at least in my area.
